First off, tell us about yourself! What type of content do you do?
My name is MCMdesigns! I am a variety streamer on Twitch and TikTok - A lot of the variety happens over on Twitch rather than TikTok with story, survival, speedrunning and community games. Tiktok is more focused on challenges in rhythm games - Im currently doing a lot of blindfolded runs on a number of different games!
What emotions did you feel when you realized you'd hit your latest Tiltify fundraising milestone?
I was very proud of the community for getting behind everything over the last 4 years - realising how much of an impact we had made together for mens health and sick kids- funding all of the programs for mens health and for cancer research plus helping brighten the lives of over 200 sick kids from what we have raised makes all the difference.
What inspired you to start fundraising for charity?
I always had the mindset of wanting to use any space that I had to help raise money for Movember and the Starlight Childrens Foundation - For Movember: I know that the online space can be overwhelmingly toxic a lot of the time and knowing how badly people can be affected by what is said or done in that space made me want to be somebody that wanted to speak out and be vulnerable to show others that it is okay to speak out and its not weak to speak out about your struggles as a man. For starlight - My brother is the reason I got into streamig in the first place but suffered a life altering illness when he was 2 years old. The Starlight Childrens Foundation helped look after him while he spent 5 weeks in hospital so have a deep connection to the work they do for the kids.
How did you overcome moments of doubt or slow progress in your campaigns?
Is there a particular donation or message from a supporter that left a lasting impact on you?
Have you collaborated with other fundraisers, streamers, or organizations? If so, what was that experience like?
How do you maintain the momentum and enthusiasm of your supporters across multiple campaigns?
Always changing up whats going on and - I cant stress this enough - getting input from the community for what they want to see. After all the community is what helps drive the campaigns home. Giving adequate time for people to prepare and not spreading yourself as a creator thin. Make sure you have set aside time to push and know your limits.
What have you learned about yourself through this journey of raising money for charity?
That its never about me, its about the people we are doing this for - those who are suffering and need the support.
Lastly, what are your future goals for fundraising? Do you have a specific target or project in mind?
To keep going and push to help more and more people through my journey as a content creator and charity fundraiser. Something I'm planning on this comming year for Movember 2025 - 30 collabs in 30 days for Mens health. Think it can be done?
