Doing a Fundraising Stream on Tiltify: Bots & Extensions

Those of us in the content creation space are required to wear many different hats: host, producer, moderator, editor, and social media manager. Bots are a great tool to help take some of the load off and elevate your production level. But how can these same tools be used to elevate your fundraising campaign?

We’ve gathered a list of bots and extensions that integrate with Tiltify and add an extra coat of polish to your campaign.

Mix It Up Bot Integration

Mix It Up describes itself as “The only streaming bot you’ll ever need.” It is one of the most robust streaming tools available and gives users nearly unlimited options for increasing the production value of their streams.

That versatility translates into its integration with the Tiltify API. MIU gives a user full control over actions, chat messages, and even OBS scenes based on donation triggers, incentives, and rewards. One user who suggested the bot to us said that whenever a donation is made, they have a chat message that says the donation amount and how much is left until the goal is met.

Tiltify Extension for Streamer.bot

Streamer.bot is a tool that enables an incredible amount of customization and interactivity options to your stream. A big feature that sets Streamer.bot apart is that everyday users can build and submit extensions.

One user, EarthToThien, did just that and created their own Tiltify integration. Because Streamer.bot can interact with such a large variety of streaming tools such as Twitch, Ko-Fi, OBS, Crowd Control, Elgato, and VoiceMod, this extension also allows these services to be integrated with your Tiltify campaign. Donations can trigger actions like changing scenes in OBS, custom alerts through StreamLabs/StreamElements, or even change the streamers voice through VoiceMod.

GhostlyTuna’s Stream Timer

Stream Timer is a tool we saw gain a lot of traction during St. Jude Play Live 2024. Traditionally used for “subathons”, creator GhostlyTuna has enabled the timer to be triggered by donations through Tiltify. Each time a donation is made, time is added to the timer.

This is a great tool to encourage incentives during your fundraising event. Recently, BadKarma on Twitch increased the length of their stream based on donations. Whenever a new donation came in, time would be added to the clock.

The timer can represent anything as well. One example could be that adding time to the clock means you have to wear some goofy costume, modulate your voice, or talk exclusively in rhyme until time runs out.

Tiltify Donation Bot for Discord

One of the features we see frequently is the ability to post a message in Discord whenever a donation is made, and a user has made one. Implementation of this bot isn’t as straightforward as those previously mentioned. It will involve a basic knowledge of API tokens and managing .json files, but we love that a solution is being developed!

Conclusion
