This week, we are featuring the amazing work of PaopuKomi (they/them)! They are a variety streamer on Twitch who focuses on story-driven games and RPGs. They are a big fan of Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Ace Attorney, and comfy indie games.
We asked them some questions about their time fundraising for charity on Tiltify, so let’s get into it!

How much have you fundraised?
$74,977.08
What is your favorite moment of fundraising?
Most of my fundraising is done with me off-camera, since my biggest fundraising events are speedrunning tournaments. Here’s one of my earlier tournaments with us hitting a pretty awesome goal! One of my favorite moments in fundraising is seeing that bar fill up, and then pushing the goal EVEN HIGHER to try and do more good!
Why do you choose to fundraise?
I learned early on that I could use my platform to make a difference in a way that is much bigger and better than myself. I started fundraising to give back to communities who didn’t have access to things that I might have, or give back to those who aren’t as healthy and well-off as I am. Fundraising became a big part of what I love most about streaming because it fostered a great community of caring people and helped to make a big difference in the lives of others.
What Tiltify tools have you used that made an impact on your fundraising?
Matching Campaigns are one of my favorite tools to use with Tiltify! I think it’s really inspiring to other people to donate when they see that their donations will be matched 2x, 3x, or more!
What is a fun fact you’d like to share?
I started streaming right before the pandemic hit, and meeting people through Twitch helped me to feel less isolated. I very weirdly have COVID to thank for where I’m at today.
What advice do you have for anyone fundraising for the first time?
You do NOT have to fundraise alone! The campaigns are made and run by me, but I wouldn’t do nearly as much good work without the help of some pretty amazing people. Hosting events like tournaments or even stream raid train marathons not only brings people together, but creates a collective goal for the group to just have fun, raise some money, and do some good. You don’t have to go about it alone, and even raising just a little bit can make it all worth it.
