This week, we are featuring the amazing work of CMDR Mitchcraft (he/him)!
He is a variety streamer on Twitch, with a focus on Fallout content, survival crafting games, and whatever other games his community wants to experience chaos with him.
We asked her some questions about her time fundraising for charity on Tiltify, so let’s get into it!

How much have you fundraised?
$2500
What is the next fundraising campaign you have planned?
I’ll be participating in the Fallout for Hope St. Jude Campaign in November/December.
What is your favorite moment of fundraising?
My favorite fundraising moment was our first major milestone — getting pied in the face. My wife prepped the whipped cream pie and didn’t let me finish my countdown so I was very much caught by surprise. I was also picking sprinkles out of my shirt for the rest of the stream XD
Why do you choose to fundraise?
Growing up, I’d fundraised for St. Jude in other ways — the bike-a-thons, Math-a-thons (nerds unite!), and stuff like that. So, when I heard about fundraising through game streaming, it was a no-brainer to keep the tradition going. And Tiltify made it super easy to just jump in and do some good.
What Tiltify tools have you used that made an impact on your fundraising?
The donation incentives have been essential to fundraising. Being able to showcase different rewards for different times, and being able to feature rewards at different dollar levels, make it easy for everyone to be able to donate at the level that feels most comfortable for them. Also, being able to set milestones in the background and immediately activate them means the momentum of fundraising doesn’t end while you adjust the technology — it’s an easy process to just click and keep going.
What is a fun fact you’d like to share?
I’m a part time streamer — in my day job, I’m the Director of Engineering at a web development firm. One of my favorite times was going on Felicia Day’s Twitch stream to talk to her community about the website my company created for her. I may have been fanboying a bit… ok, a lot, actually :) (AND, I got to showcase the Fallout for Hope team — the charity team I fundraise with in the winter months!)
What advice do you have for anyone fundraising for the first time?
Every. Dollar. Matters. Even if you only raise $1, that’s a dollar that the organization didn’t have. Don’t be afraid to try new things like new milestones or to step out of your comfort zone a bit; you know your community better than anyone, and you know what motivates them — use that to help fundraise!
