How much have you fundraised?
$105,000
What is your favorite moment of fundraising?
My favourite moment was actually during my first St Jude campaign. I was streaming Just Dance on the last day for fundraising and I didn’t want to stop until we hit $10,000. I remember it was 5–6 hours and I was so exhausted but kept pushing myself for the kids. Someone donated $530 to hit 10k and I remember just dropping to the floor, I was so happy. I will never forget that stream.
Why do you choose to fundraise?
My father had cancer in 2010 (13 years cancer free!), watching what he went through and the experiences our family had just made me want to do more. I found Twitch in 2016 and soon after started fundraising for St Jude and feel inlove with it. My Dad has been my backbone all these years and has supported me through all the charity campaigns, any presentations I’ve done at the St Jude Summit. I’ve phoned him before presenting at the St Jude Summit and he would always tell me there’s a reason why I’m here at this point in my life doing what I’m doing, go share our story, go show the world what you do best. My Dad is hands down my inspiration to fundraise.
What Tiltify tools have you used that made an impact on your fundraising?
The poll feature has been great. I play Destiny and I made a poll one campaign, which is better Hunter vs Titan vs Warlock. Whatever won at 10K was what I was going to play for the rest of the year. Then to raise the stakes one stream was to delete my main hunter if we hit 10k that day. Well chat hit 15k and I deleted my hunter and mained a titan :( lol
What is a fun fact you’d like to share?
I changed my profession because of visiting the St Jude Campus! In 2019 I went back to school and I graduated in late 2021. I am currently a Medical Laboratory Technologist in Hematology :)
What advice do you have for anyone fundraising for the first time?
Just start. Put yourself out there and have fun with it. Any dollar raised is one more dollar than they had yesterday!!
